After defeating one of the tournament favorites, La Laguna Tenerife, in the Final Four, Rytas Vilnius carried its momentum into the Championship Game with a remarkable performance. The Lithuanian side erased a 20-point deficit against AEK BC and took control in the closing moments of an overtime thriller. Rytas Vilnius secured an 86–92 victory, lifting the first Basketball Champions League trophy in club history.
